The conference leadership team has made reccomendations for the Arrowmen that are best suited for each class. You might be interested in something not specfically geared to you. Don't be shy - go ahead and sign up - we're sure you'll get something out of every course.

Period 1

Council Support
Lodges and Councils need to support one another. It is important to develop a working relationship with your council leadership. This class will focus on how to present the Lodge to the Council properly.

Geared towards: Adult leadership & Lodge Chiefs

Identifying Talent
To build a successful Lodge, you must have active and interested participants throughout. Your newest Arrowmen are the future of the Lodge. This class will outline the importance of finding the Lodges next leaders, placing people in chairmen roles and recruiting Arrowmen.

Geared towards: Lodge Officers & Advisers

LLD Best Practices
In order to train their officers and advisers, a lodge must conduct Lodge Leadership Development courses. This class will present ideas and procedures to create an effective LLD for your lodge leadership.

Geared towards: LLD Chairmen & Advisers, LEC members

Selling the News
In order to promote your Lodge, you must have a fun, informative newsletter. This class will create a format and collect articles Saturday night and distribute a wrap up ALTC paper Sunday.

Geared towards: All members with an interest in communications.

Period 2

"Arrow" of Light
The Order of the Arrow can promote the Boy Scouts to Cubs and their pack. This class is geared toward reaching out to the Cubs and providing them with an example to reach for.

Geared towards: All members with an interest in Cub Scouting

Budgets and Funds
This class will provide examples of budgets to use for events as well as ideas for fundraisers and scholarships.

Geared towards: Lodge Treasurers, Finance Committee Members & Advisers

LAP: Lodge Awesomeness Program
The Lodge Assistance Program is in place to help Lodges. The goal is to provide a visit to each Lodge and provide them with resources and insight toward achieving Quality Lodge. This class aims to walk through the LAP process.

Geared towards: Council of Chiefs Members and Lodge Officers

Special Events
Planning events for your Lodge is important, but you must keep those events fun and fresh. This class will cover ways to work in new ideas to your Lodge gatherings.

Geared towards: Individuals responsible for planning lodge events

Period 3

Brothers, Form Our Circle
Ceremonies are a great opportunity to involve new members and create a swell of interest in your lodge. This class will focus on developing and recruiting a ceremony team and how to get others involved.

Geared towards: Ceremony Team Members & Advisers, Youth interested in being a part of their lodge's ceremony team(s)

Leadership: More than a Title
This session will detail the importance of setting the example, regardless of the position you hold within the Order of the Arrow. It will give examples of how to carry yourself and show how that correlates to others' actions in your team.

Geared towards: Council of Chiefs members & Lodge Officers

NOAC: Get There
With NOAC 2012 on the horizon, this class is aimed at getting you ready to make the most of the conference. It will cover how to promote and form a contingent for your lodge.

Geared towards: Contingent Chairman & Leaders, Lodge Chiefs, Lodge Advisers

Troop Rep
The Troop Representative position is important to the Lodge. This class will focus on how to create a program, promote it to your troops and use the position effectively.

Geared towards: Chapter Officers & Advisers, LEC Members & Advisers

Other Training Opportunities

While there are only three periods of formal training this year, there will be plenty more opportunities to learn! In the afternoon, there will be some group training opportunities followed by time for our lodges to gather together for an internal discussion. Later, there will be an opportunity to un-wind, but if you just can't get enough training, one additional course geared towards adults will be offered.
